Residensi Melati Is Now Residensi Ara Melati – What Buyers Need to Know

If you have been following the new Residensi Wilayah project at Taman Melati, you may have noticed something recently:

Residensi Melati is now being referred to as Residensi Ara Melati.

Naturally, some buyers have started asking me:

“Is this a new project?”“Did the developer change?”“Is my earlier registration still for the same development?”

So I thought it would be useful to clarify this update.

Residensi Melati and Residensi Ara Melati Refer to the Same Development

The project that many buyers initially knew as Residensi Melati @ Taman Melati is now officially registered as:

Residensi Ara Melati

According to the latest KPKT TEDUH housing records, the registered project name is Residensi Ara Melati, under developer Menang Sejahtera Sdn. Bhd.

This is therefore not a separate new Residensi Wilayah project in another location.

It is the same development at Jalan MaTaman Melati, Kuala Lumpur, near M3 Mall, that many buyers have already been following.

Why Did the Name Change?

At the earlier marketing and pre-registration stage, the project was commonly introduced as Residensi Melati.

The official registered name now appearing in housing records is Residensi Ara Melati.

At the time of writing, I have not seen an official statement explaining the specific reason behind the addition of the word “Ara”, so I would not want to speculate.

For buyers, the most important point is simply:

Residensi Melati → Residensi Ara Melati

Same project, updated official project name.

What About Buyers Who Registered Earlier?

If you previously registered your interest under Residensi Melati, don't immediately assume that you registered for the wrong project just because you now see the name Residensi Ara Melati.

The development being referred to is the same Taman Melati project.

However, buyers should always check their latest application, booking and documentation details carefully, especially when dealing with official Residensi Wilayah applications.

Residensi Ara Melati is a Residensi Wilayah affordable housing development located in the Taman Melati / Setapak area of Kuala Lumpur.

The development that buyers have been following offers approximately:

• 800 sq ft

• 3 bedrooms

• 2 bathrooms

• Balcony

• 1 parking

• 2 residential blocks

• Condominium-style facilities

• Located beside / close to M3 Mall

• Approximately 650m from LRT Taman Melati

• Residensi Wilayah affordable housing category

Purchase and application remain subject to the latest Residensi Wilayah eligibility requirements, financing approval and unit availability.

Should You Search for “Residensi Melati” or “Residensi Ara Melati”?

For older information, social media posts or previous advertisements, you may still see:

Residensi Melati

For current information and official documentation, I recommend referring to the project as:

Residensi Ara Melati @ Taman Melati

For the time being, I will also use “formerly known as Residensi Melati” in some of my updates so that buyers who followed the project earlier will know we are talking about the same development.

Already Registered for Residensi Melati?

If you have registered previously and are unsure whether your registration, loan submission or application is still properly recorded under the updated project name, you can check before submitting another application.

This is especially important if you have already passed your documents to an agent or submitted your financing application to a bank, as duplicate submissions may create unnecessary confusion.
